REALITY BY HARRY ALLEN
Our Reality series by Harry Allen is inspired by the beauty of everyday objects. By casting natural forms, Allen thoughtfully reimagines objects and gives them new uses. Each object is chosen with care and often a comic sensibility. Here, an assortment of candy from around the world is repurposed into a candy dish.
Born in New Jersey in 1964, Harry Allen received a Master’s Degree in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute. In 1993, he established Harry Allen Design, and since then, he has designed furniture, lighting, products and interiors for a wide variety of international clients. Harry’s work is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art and the Brooklyn, Denver and Philadelphia Museums of Art. His awards include the Brooklyn Museum of Art’s Modernism/Young Designer Award and two Industrial Design Society of America IDEA Awards. Harry’s interest in art and innovation has led to some of the most intelligent products and interiors in the world today.
