THE ARCHDEKOR® MISSION

We created ARCHDEKOR® with the foundation of supporting and promoting creativity globally in design and decor, inefussioned with technology. We support handmade suppliers that create and manufacture sustainable products for the home. We are an award winning design company with a unique e-commerce store. Even though we are a new small company our charitable commitment is to have a strong voice in our creative community and other non-profit communities. We have started a company donation initiative by donating from our sales as we grow, we intend to donate a percentage of our profits. In the meantime, we have made monthly and gift donations to causes we believe in and will keep adding to our list of donations. Our first charitable donation was to the Seattle Children's Hospital. Secondly, we support and donate our time for pro-bono design work.  Please see below for more information on public architecture pro-bono design work and just some of the organizations we support and believe in.  You can also help us support these causes by making your own donations.

ASID AND AND PUBLIC ARCHITECTURE PARTNER TO ADVANCE AND ENCOURAGE PRO BONO SERVICES

Through a new partnership, the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and Public Architecture will support pro bono service for nonprofits seeking interior design expertise through a nationwide Public Architecture program. The program challenges architecture and design firms to commit a minimum of 1% of their time to pro bono service and facilitates a matching service to connect firms with nonprofits seeking pro bono design services.

AIA and Public Architecture have agreed to build a portal on The 1% website to launch later this year that will support and track AIA members' service contributions to communities in need. Service contributions pledged through The 1% are valued today at nearly $40 million annually.

"While architecture professionals have traditionally been philanthropic, until now the profession has never institutionalized pro bono service as a fundamental component of practice," said John Peterson, AIA, Founder and President of Public Architecture. "This partnership is a historic leap forward towards a more comprehensive commitment to creating better environments in all communities."
